The first ever missionary venture of the Province out of state was the opening of a convent named Santhi Nikethan at Anavetti in Shimoga district Karnataka, on 15/06/1980, with the whole hearted support of MCBS fathers. In 1985 another convent was opened by name Jyothi Bhavan at Sagar. After 19 years of service, the General Synaxis of 1989 decided to cede the mission to Manathavady Province. Now the centers are functioning efficiently under Mananthavady Province.
On 2nd Feruary 1981 a Mission house was opened at Polavaram in Eluru diocese in west Godawary district. Alphonsa Nivas Irusumanda, the second mission station in Andrapradesh was started on28th July 1989. By the year 2002 there were six houses spread over Andrapradesh and the Mission was raised to a Region named San Thom Region Eluru. On4th March 2013, San Thom Region was declared as a Province by the Superior General Rev.Mother Sinclare at San Thom Regional House which became San Tthom Provincial House.
Bishop Pheorelsol Angelini who was in charge of the hospitals of Rome, invited our sisters to work in Ospedale Ofthalmico under Italian government and two sisters started their work in this hospital on 20/01/1983. Now Sr. Jyothi, Sr. Clare kochumala and Sr.Shainy Maria are doing their service there where they render spiritual assistance also.Sr.Annie Thekkemangalam severs in the hospital Fate Bene Fratelli at Isola Teberina, Roma.
Since 1990 four of our sisters have been rendering their service at CASA FAMIGLIA a home for aged women, in a small hamlet in Bolonga called Imola. The sisters are vigilant to give all possible care and love to the inmates languishing in isolation and senility. Now Sr.Titus, Sr.Vijaya, Sr.Pauline are rendering dedicated service there.
In October, 1984 Rev.Sr.Mary Anns joined a hospital run by Austerian sisters at Kaiser Strauss. As there was a demand for more sisters. Sr.jaisy, Sr.Jessin and Sr.Tessin joined the hospital in 1987. Sr.Jessin and Sr.Tessin are still there while Sr. jaisy is transferred to Germany.
As the Vicar General of Osnaburg diocese asked for the services of our sisters to serve in St.Joseph's hospital run by the diocese in Bremen, Sr. Lissia Tom, Sr. Ann Grace and Sr. Clare Jose (Eluru) were sent to render their services there. They joined the Regional House of FCC in Germany and underwent a German language course and hospital care training. In February 2014, Sr.Jaisy from Austria and the three sisters started service at Bremen and they live in a house provided the diocese.
