"Lord's spirit is on me, because He hast anointed me to take the gospel to the poor" (Luke 4:18.)
To translate these words of God into reality, our sisters are persevering within their constraints.
Home mission
Aiming at the renewal of the families and sanctification, the home mission programme tries to bring up individuals at home level, and houses at parish level in the spirit of divine love. The team members of home mission have been given adequate training for this. They pray and prepares in advance for the mission and thus the efforts prove to be very fruitful. Each team consisting of two sisters visits selected houses. Every year the mission is carried out in 3-4 parishes. Ten sisters are full time in this field and ten others cooperate with it as situation demands.
Spreading the
gospel
The word of God is alive and active. Our sisters take particular care to disseminate the word of God collectively and individually, as it is powerful enough to touch human hearts. The sisters carry out counseling and offer prayers in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki districts, especially in schools, colleges, parishes and retreat centers.
Counseling
The greatest problem of today is that people are incapable of overcoming the crises of life. The sisters took particular care in this. The sisters trained in various ways are active with dedication in this realm. There are ten full time sisters in this service and they target schools, retreat centers and families.
Family fellowship
All
sisters do what they are worth to lead the family fellowships in various
parishes. They pray together and prepare the people of God to know each other,
to share and pray together. They take special care to offer awareness classes
and guidance to avail of family renewal facilities offered by the diocese.
They head various organizations at parish level and inspire all the people in the families to lead a real Christian life through novel renewal methods becoming of the modern times.
Jail ministry
Our sisters are involved in sharing the love of God and offering gospel classes to the prisoners of Pathanamthitta, Peermade and Ponkunnam jails.
