Realizing the dreams of the local people of Swaraj, near kattappana, a Convent was opened on 17th April 2002. On 16th December 2003, the new building was blessed by the Bishop Mar Mathew Arackal. The Convent was named as San Damiano FC Convent as it was the 750th anniversary of St.Clare. The sisters are active in social welfare activities, education and spiritual and mental development programmes. The Convent is a centre of hope and consolation for the people of Swaraj.
