Koratty is a rural area in Kanjirappally Grama Panchayat. A Convent was opened there on  9th July 1985, reflecting the aspirations of the parishioners and was blessed by Mar Joseph Powathil the Bishop of Kanjirappally. In the begining there was a nursery school.  A new house was built and blessed on 14.12.1990  by the Bishop Mar Mathew Vattakuzhy and it was named as San Joe Bhavan. Sisters are active on all fronts, especially in the spiritual and material development of the people. The convent maintains a healthy and cordial relationship with the local communities.
